Why Self Cared?


Self Cared centres the “self” in self-care. Self-care is all about prioritising your needs –
 whatever they may be. It’s about more than just “zen-ing out”. Depending on how you’re 
feeling, you may actually want to “punch it out,” or perhaps you’re simply looking “just to be.”

We’re here to carve out a little spot on the Internet to co-create a space for all kinds of self-
care practices, together – not just the Instagrammable ones.

We don’t believe you need permission from us to define what self-care is to you. We’re simply 
here to offer a helping hand – by curating our favourite self-care products for every occasion
 and mood, and helpful resources to assist you in meeting your needs.

A founder who has ‘been there.’


At the heart of Self Cared is founder Nathalie
 Reiter.
Not only does Nathalie have a decade’s-
worth of eCommerce experience and an eye for beautiful, quality wares, but she is also a passionate mental health advocate.

After discovering the power in listening to her own needs, and the merit of professional mental
health support, Nathalie is on a mission to make self-care practices and mental health services more accessible to Australians.

and/or medically reviewed by our in-house
psychologist to help you on your way.

Self Cared is also a proud supporter of mental

Clinical mental

Self Cared’s resident psychologist, Sinem Ibrahim, graduated with a Bachelor of Social Science in
 Psychology at The University of New England NSW and a Masters of Clinical Counselling.
She 
has 6 years of clinical practice experience in Family, Drug & Alcohol Counselling and General
 Counselling in private practice.

Sinem brings her wealth of experience and expertise to Self
 Cared’s mental health guides, resources and templates to ensure all information is accurate,
compassionate and effective.
